Ducati is known for innovation, and their 1033cc Desmosedici Stradale engine showcases their finest engine to date. Outputting an impressive 208HP at 13,000rpm and a maximum torque of 123Nm at 9,500rpm, it doesn’t sit around for long! Granted, with it being the naked-bike variant, you’re lacking the aerodynamics of the Panigale—but your back and joints will thank you for it!
Equipped with a six-speed gearbox, chain final drive, and seamless quick-shift system, this setup ensures smooth gear transitions. Even at lower RPMs, it avoids the abrupt jolts often associated with aftermarket shifters, ensuring a refined riding experience. Along with that, it boasts a new engine management strategy and racing-bred Öhlins Suspension, enhancing both performance and comfort. Being a naked bike, the seating position is more upright than hunched over, thanks to its thoughtfully designed seat. During our test rides, we found the seat to provide adequate comfort, although we cannot say how long for.
Ducati Streetfighter V4 S Carbon Enhancements
Ducati has a variety of factory-optional extras to choose from when ordering from new. The V4 S we have here hosts a selection of the striking carbon fibre elements, including a Matte Carbon Front Mudguard, Rear Mudguard, and adhesive tank protection.
Here’s a weird and annoying decision Ducati made with the heated grips option. The V4 S comes with the grips already installed from the factory (unless optioned otherwise). But, here’s the kicker—you need to pay Ducati extra to unlock the heating features! Talk about grinding gears…
Fight Formula
The ‘Fight Formula’ concept originates from motorbike racing, where lightweight, agile bikes excel in tight turns and quick maneuvers. This philosophy has influenced the design of naked-bikes, which prioritise handling and responsiveness. Rising to prominence in the late 1980s, the ‘streetfighter’ culture involved riders modifying sportbikes for more upright, aggressive riding styles. This led to a focus on performance, usability, and a raw aesthetic, giving rise to naked bike designs that purged unnecessary bodywork.
Today, Ducati is one of the leading manufacturers to embrace the ‘fight formula’, incorporating advanced technology and materials, resulting in naked-bikes that are lightweight, powerful, and equipped with cutting-edge features: a combination which enhances performance in urban settings. The evolution of streetfighter and naked bike styles continues, with many manufacturers offering models designed for agile handling and performance.
Aftermarket Modifications
With aftermarket enhancements available, this V4 S features a select few to improve security and aesthetics on the platform. Datatag Master Security ID for added protection against theft, and the EvoTech Performance Tail Tidy which offers a neatly-composed rear end, a must buy for any owners. Additionally, the EvoTech Performance Radiator Cover Set enhances the visual appeal while providing extra protection for the radiator.
Having covered a mere 1,072 miles with just two previous owners, this low-mileage example of the Ducati Streetfighter V4 S, complete with Full Ducati Main Dealer Service History, captured the attention of a discerning buyer and has now been sold and delivered to the new owner—marking our first motorbike sale. Will it be the last?
As with all vehicles sold by Automotive Addiction, this street-bred marvel underwent our invasive, up-to-100-hour preparation process, including a decontamination wash. Additionally, the ‘interior’ sections (seat, grips, etc.) were deep cleaned, and multiple hours of paintwork correction and polishing were completed. As a result, all fairings and body panels are in better-than-factory condition. This process achieves a truly unparalleled finish.
